Team Fox Photo Competition with Celebrity Judge Ryan Reynolds!

Calling all Team Fox members! We want to share all of the fun and creativity of your Team Fox events. Help us out by posting your favorite Team Fox event photos to our Facebook page along with a few fun facts about the day. And we’ll be posting photos on the Team Fox blog and Twitter feed, too!
We know how much our Team Fox members love a good competition – so we’ll be publishing the best five event photos in The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s newsletter, Accelerating the Cure. And the top five photos will be chosen by Team Fox Celebrity Chair Ryan Reynolds.
Final contestants for a space in the top five will be notified at the close of the competition and asked to send high resolution photos for the final round of judging (see Rules and Eligibility below). So post your photo today!
- To officially enter the Team Fox photo competition, upload a photo to www.facebook.com/teamfox beginning July 7, 2010. Photos must be received by midnight on July 31, 2010 to be considered for the competition.
- Final contestants will be notified after the close of the competition and must be able to provide a high res (300 dpi) jpeg or tiff image to be selected as a top five winner.
- All photos posted to Facebook must be accompanied by the name of the Team Fox member hosting the event; the name, date, place of the event; and, one fun fact about the day.
- Not sure if your photo is high res? A high res photo will have a large file size, close to 1 MB or larger.
- Don’t have a high res photo? Post it to our Facebook page anyway! Although you can’t be considered for the top five photos to be printed in MJFF’s newsletter, we still want to share your great work online!
- By submitting your photo(s) to the Team Fox Facebook page, you agree to allow The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to use your photo(s) online and in video and print materials.
- Final contestants will be asked to sign a photo release form before consideration in the top five competition.
- Although we love a good tune or awesome video, we’re looking for photos. Audio, video or animation files will not be considered in the competition.

Team Fox Members Hit the $1 Million Fundraising Mark!

Congratulations Team Fox members and supporters! Thanks to all of your hard work and dedication, 2010 is shaping up to be a huge fundraising success for Team Fox, with over $1 million raised so far this year.
The spring was an especially busy time for our members, who hosted and participated in a variety of events all over the world, showing that they can turn any outing, race or party into an excellent Team Fox fundraiser.
This summer is off to a great start with upcoming events that include walking, swimming and fireworks – all for a worthy cause!

ING New York City Marathon Update

Today is the official NYRR lottery for guaranteed entries in the ING New York City Marathon. If you registered for the lottery, click here at noon today to check your status in the race. All runners interested in running for Team Fox who did not gain entry through the lottery and did not contact Team Fox directly in advance of the lottery are required to submit an official application at www.teamfox.org/2010nycapp. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and we will notify you of your status on the team as soon as possible. For full details about our NYC Marathon team, go to www.teamfox.org/nycmarathon.
If you have guaranteed entry for the ING New York City Marathon, you are welcome to run as a part of the Team Fox team, though you are not required to commit to a fundraising minimum. If you already have secured entry in the race, email teamfox@michaeljfox.org with your entry information and officially join the team at www.teamfox.org.

Team Fox members raised an astounding $2.95 million for Parkinson’s research in 2009!
We are in awe of our incredibly devoted Team Fox members and their community of supporters, who went above and beyond to reach their fundraising goals and make a difference in the fight against Parkinson’s.
